It is produced via chain-growth polymerization from the monomer propylene. Dry Pre-preg Carbon: - Real Pre-preg (Dry) Carbon Fiber with UV Protection Clearcoat.
Carbon Pattern Options	Woven 3k (default option): Woven Carbon Fiber (Standard 2x2 or 3k) - the most common carbon fiber weave. 2x2 weave woven carbon fiber is the default if listing does not specify the pattern. Woven 3K carbon fiber is a lightweight and high-strength material made from bundles of 3,000 carbon filaments (referred to as "3K") that are woven into a fabric pattern, typically in a twill or plain weave. It offers excellent tensile strength, stiffness, and durability while maintaining a sleek, smooth appearance with a distinctive checkerboard pattern. Forged (20% extra charge, made to order): Forged carbon fiber - a composite material made from randomly arranged, short carbon fiber strands combined with resin and compressed in a mold. Forged carbon fiber offers greater design flexibility compared to 3K woven carbon fiber, as it can be molded into more complex shapes without compromising structural integrity. Its random fiber orientation reduces weak points caused by the directional patterns in 3K weaves, enhancing impact resistance. Additionally, it has a unique aesthetic appeal, with a marbled texture that stands out from the uniform weave of 3K carbon fiber. *To place order for other bespoke or creative options, please email or call in.

Additional Information	Please note before purchasing - For bumpers made with FRP or Carbon material, please expect some modifications and adjustments for the best results, sanding, drilling and adding body filler is to be expected. The front bumper is made of PP Polypropylene, while the front lip and front grill are made of dry pre-preg carbon fiber.

About Karbel Carbon

Pre-preg Carbon Specialist

At Karbel we make sure to offer our clients the best quality of selection of carbon fiber parts, as well as provide them with superb customer service.

Our products are made of dry carbon fiber, which is third generation of carbon fiber material characterized by its lightweight and strength. The dry carbon fiber fabric is weaved with resin pre-impregnated carbon fiber called "Pre-preg" in carbon fiber industry. Pre-preg reaches optimal resin/carbon ratio to strive for its characteristics. Thus during the carbon parts manufacture process, there is no resin application needed when molding. This is why we call it “Dry” carbon fiber. Autoclave process is another important step to finish our product. In the autoclave, the high pressure and temperature are the key to our products’ tensile strength, which could be 15 times higher than steel's. Unlike the Wet carbon fiber where the resin is applied into carbon fiber cloth to form sturdy structure, dry carbon fiber parts are generally 50% lighter than those made of wet carbon fiber, and the strength of these two materials are also different. That is why carbon inlays and interiors use wet carbon fiber.

What is the difference between FRP and Carbon Fiber?

FRP is NOT Carbon Fiber and is a composite material of carbon polymers and fiberglass. Coming in a fresh sanded and primed finish, FRP is ready for paint or wrap! Carbon Fiber, depending on the brand and part, can be offered in Pre-Preg or Vacuum Carbon. Carbon Fiber is a woven pattern of carbon fibers, standard in a 3k weave.

What is "Pre-Preg" and "Vacuum" Carbon Fiber?

-Pre-Preg, also known as Dry Carbon, is a much more durable and lighter form of Carbon Fiber. Baked into its mold, Pre-Preg Carbon has the mold resin pre integrated into the piece.

-Vacuum Carbon Fiber, also known as Wet Carbon, is placed into its mold with resin and vacuum sealed into its form. Both have the same finish but have different structural formulas.
